About me

Hi, I’m Lucy

I’m an HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist and RCSLT member, supporting children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs.

I graduated from Newcastle University and have experience working across NHS, private, school and specialist settings.

My approach is child-centred and individualised. I work closely with families and education professionals to make therapy engaging, meaningful and practical, with strategies that can be used beyond the therapy session.

How I can help

I provide assessment, therapy and advice for children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs. Support is tailored to each individual, helping them build confidence and reach their potential.

  • Speech sounds

    Support with the production, clarity and confidence of speech sounds.

  • Language development

    Support with understanding and use of language, including vocabulary, sentence building and following instructions.

  • Social communication

    Support with turn-taking, conversation skills, understanding social cues and making and maintaining friendships.

  • Autism support

    Individualised support for children and young people on the autism spectrum, focusing on communication, flexibility and social understanding.

  • Confidence and self-advocacy

    Helping children and young people build confidence in their communication and develop strategies to express their needs.

  • Parent and school support

    Working in partnership with families, schools and other professionals so strategies are consistent and can be used beyond the therapy session.

Getting started

  1. Free phone call

    A 15 minute chat to discuss your child’s needs and how I can help.

  2. Initial assessment

    A comprehensive assessment lasting 60 to 90 minutes, followed by a detailed report and recommendations.

  3. Therapy sessions

    45 minute individual sessions, in person or online, with strategies to use between sessions.

I provide flexible and tailored Speech and Language Therapy support for primary and secondary schools, helping to meet the communication needs of your pupils.
